I tried to come up with a snappy name for this post, but this salad has so many ingredients that it was difficult to decide which deserved to be front and centre. Since the dressing is made with peanut butter and ginger, these flavours are in every bite. And quinoa, well, I can’t hide the fact that we have been eating quite a bit of this grain, as you can see from previous posts.

Slow Cooker Butter Chicken
I was standing at a supermarket check-out when a Canadian Living magazine featuring Slow Cooker recipes caught my eye. As I picked up the magazine and started flipping through it, a Butter Chicken Recipe peaked my interest. My pocketbook won the internal debate, and when I arrived home, I started searching for a Slow Cooker Butter Chicken recipe on the internet.
Ham-Burr-ger Helper
The role of today’s guest food blogger is played by Connie’s husband, Jamie.
Shortly after Connie launched A Ruby Reduction, I briefly entertained the thought of creating a companion blog focused entirely on the hamburger.
It seemed like a splendid idea at first … until I began to realize that in order to maintain such a site, I’d have to eat an (almost) ungodly number of burgers (and buns) on a regular basis.
Hey, I love hamburgers, but a man’s got his limits.
Maple Ginger Glazed Salmon
There are times when you are in the grocery store and you see a frozen item on sale that is a really good buy. It might be an item that you normally don’t purchase frozen, but it seems too good to pass up. This is what happened with a 4 pack of frozen salmon filets. It was a great deal, but, every time I opened up the freezer, I was never interested in preparing them. I just kind of felt like they were taking up valuable space where I could keep additional packages of bacon 🙂 or maybe Tupperware containers filled with excess cookies!
